What is The Arts Society Wokingham?

The Arts Society Wokingham is an arts appreciation society. The branch was set up in 2014 by an enthusiastic committee and attracted a lot of members. It has proved popular ever since.

The Arts Society Wokingham is a member of The Arts Society whose origins lie in the Chiltern Antiques Society founded by Patricia Fay in 1965. In 1968 eleven societies came together to form the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS). In May 2017 NADFAS was rebranded and became The Arts Society and in 2018 it celebrated its 50th 'Golden 'Anniversary.

The Arts Society continues to advance art education and appreciation but now embraces all aspects of the arts, alongside promoting the preservation of artistic heritage. It is a UK-based charity and supports a network of over 360 local societies across the country.  For more information, visit their website

In Wokingham were are fortunate to have established a partnership with Clifton Ingram, a local firm of solicitors. They help support some of the many events that we hold, as well as the volunteer work that we do in the community.
